As a Vocational service project the club conducts a recognition programme within the local community for those employees who, in the course of their employment, go that extra bit further in the performance of their duties. Under the guidance of the club’s Vocational Service Director, nominations are called for within the local business community. From this selection of employees nominations suitable recipients are chosen to receive the Club’s “Pride of Workmanship Award" are made. The Award seek to encourage pride in personal performance in the workplace for the individual employee, and to help create a national attitude towards work, which in the long run will benefit our community and country. The Club hosts the employer and employer at a dinner where each recipient are presented with an engraved plaque, and a framed certificate. Usually we find the employee proudly displays the award at their place of work The Award provides a positive means to recognise those employees who display those qualities worthy of this prestigious award.
